Evidence Synthesis: Writing a Protocol
A protocol is your project planning document. It allows you to complete a systematic or scoping review efficiently and accurately, ensures greater understanding among team members, and makes writing the manuscript easier. The PRISMA Reporting Standard lists the protocol as an "essential element" to your review, and many journals now require submitted reviews to have registered protocols. This class removes a lot of the confusion and intimidation around this first important step in your review process.
