R102: Control Flow (Loops, Functions and Conditionals)

R102: Control Flow (Loops, Functions and Conditionals)

This hands-on workshop is designed for those with basic programming experience and will train learners to use three key tools for simplifying, clarifying and scaling programs for real-world applications in R: loops, functions, and conditional tests.

The workshop is open to anyone, but learners should be familiar with programming in R equivalent to the R 101 workshop. You will need access to a Windows, Mac or Linux computer. The curriculum is based on the Software Carpentry Programming with R lesson.

Learning Outcomes:
-Repeat actions on collections of objects using loops
-Create reusable functions to automate common procedures
-Use conditionals to perform actions based on input data
