Introduction to Mapmaking in ArcGIS Online

Introduction to Mapmaking in ArcGIS Online

The Introduction to Mapmaking in ArcGIS Online is a beginner-friendly training that will dive into the practical side of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Please join this training to learn how to create interactive maps with ease using ArcGIS Online.

In this training, I will demonstrate and walk you through the steps on how to create your own maps, add data layers, visualize information effectively, and share your creations (maps) with others within Virginia Tech or outside!

This training will be practical and caters to anyone, whether you are a student, faculty, researcher, or simply curious about mapping. No prior experience is required; however, if you’re interested in learning more about the theoretical side of geospatial mapping, please feel free to review this past training on the ‘Introduction to Geospatial Mapping’.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email library-event-accessibility-g@vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
