Omeka Basics

Omeka Basics

This 3-hour workshop will be an introduction to using Omeka for digital scholarship projects and exhibits. Participants will learn the basics of Omeka terminology, as well as how to create metadata, upload items, manage multiple users, and use themes and plugins. In addition, participants will explore copyright for content and hosting options for Omeka. We will spend 2 hours exploring Omeka and have 1 hour of optional work time for attendees who want to start a new project or get help on an existing one.

If you are VT-affiliated and eligible for PDN credits, you can register for this workshop through the PDN site instead of through the library: https://profdev.tlos.vt.edu/browse/teachingandlearning/courses/lib76-101124.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email kadietz@vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
