Open Qualitative Data Analysis with QualCoder

Open Qualitative Data Analysis with QualCoder

Learn to use QualCoder, a free and open-source qualitative coding and data analysis tool. This workshop will provide introductory training in the principles of deductive and inductive qualitative coding through practice with QualCoder.

Participants will need access to a Windows, Mac or Linux computer with QualCoder (installation instructions will be sent in advance), and will be asked to create a free researcher account on the Qualitative Data Repository to download the practice data. The workshop will also touch on teaching qualitative research without expensive paid software, and the challenges and opportunities research and teaching with QualCoder present.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email library-event-accessibility@groups.office365.vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
