Archival Adventures: Night by Don A. Stuart

Archival Adventures: Night by Don A. Stuart

It's time for an adventure! This week we return to Sam Moskowitz's 1940 list of sci-fi classics with Don A. Stuart's "Night", a sequel to "Twilight" (Episode 196). This time, an antigravity experiment malfunctions thrusting Bob Carter far into the future beyond the one we saw in "Twilight". Stuart was a pseudonym for John W. Campbell, Jr., who later became editor of Astounding Stories. Join us as we discover what happened to humanity and its machines far after we saw them previously in the year 7,000,000 AD. Learn more about the story here: https://ittdb.com/1232

Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libraries' Youtube page.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email library-event-accessibility@groups.office365.vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
