Archival Adventures: Coca-Cola Coast-to-Coast

It's time for an adventure! This week we're heading to the 1960s with a refreshing look at two collections of Coca-Cola. First is the Coca-Cola Bottling Company (Southwest/West Virginia) Papers (https://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaxtf/view?docId=oai/VT/repositories_2_resources_4578.xml) featuring letters and other documents from bottling companies in the Virginias. Second, the Coca-Cola Salesman's Handbook (Los Angeles Area) featuring tips and salesmen in the mid-1960s (https://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaxtf/view?docId=oai/VT/repositories_2_resources_4581.xml). Join us online for a taste of an iconic American brand's history.

Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libraries' Youtube page.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email library-event-accessibility@groups.office365.vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
