SUMMARY:Archival Adventures: World War I Army Dietitian
DESCRIPTION:It's time for an adventure! This week we're exploring the Hazel
 M. Wilson WWI Army Dietitian Scrapbook. Wilson was one of a group of 18
women who were the first dietitians brought onboard to support the United
States armed forces. They were initially brought in as part of the American
Red Cross Dietition Service and served in both the United States and Europe
during World War I despite not being eligible for the same benefits as Army
nurses. Wilson served at Camp McArthur in Waco\, Texas. She attemted to get
herself assigned to service in Europe but the war had ended before she was
able to get reassigned.\n\nJoin our community collections archivist\,

explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University
Archives covering topics including university history\, NASA pioneers\,
 architecture\, science fiction\, cooking\, LGBTQ history\, Black history\,
