Changing Funding Landscapes and Open Science

Recently both governmental and private funders have realigned priorities and the volume of grants they award in a variety of research areas - and the changes are already having a significant effect on Open Science.

This workshop will:

  • describe ways that funders have historically contributed to open scientific education, transparency, and reusability
  • provide case studies of how recent shifts have affected organizations that help fuel research, and
  • offer time for frank discussion of how to maintain and advance open science practices today

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, welcome! Please email library-event-accessibility@groups.office365.vt.edu at least 10 days prior to the event.
