Scopus is an abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature with bibliometric tools to track, analyze and visualize research. It contains over 22,000 titles from more than 5,000 publishers around the world, covering the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities. Scopus has over 55 million records dating back to 1823, 84 percent of which contain references dating from 1996.

The Scopus database is currently available to all Virginia Tech students, staff, and faculty.  To access Virginia Tech’s subscription to these resources, start at the University Libraries’ home page and search for Scopus in Discovery Search. Users can also use the navigation links at the top of the home page: under the Collections tab, choose Databases, and search by title.
