Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Deep Dive

Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Deep Dive

Registration for this workshop is now full, but you are welcome to add yourself to the waitlist by clicking "Register" below.

The Evidence Synthesis Services (ESS) team at the University Libraries is excited to host a deep-dive into systematic review and meta-analysis methodology. In this session, participants will have the opportunity to practice the major required steps of a systematic review!

Audience: This session is open to anyone interested in gaining hands-on experience with the main steps of a systematic review. Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of the general expectations and workflow of a systematic review, and be familiar with at least one relevant reporting guideline (e.g., PRISMA). Participants are welcome to bring an existing systematic review that they are working on, or a topic they would like to pursue as a systematic review, to work on during some parts of this session.

Time: May 25 - 27; 10am - 3pm, with a 1-hour lunch break from 12 - 1pm. Please note that signing up for any of of the days of this workshop registers you for all 3 days.

Access: The event will be entirely remote; the Zoom link will be emailed to you after you complete the registration.

Pre-workshop assignment: Before attending the workshop, you will be asked to review a brief (~6 minute) video and review the current (2020) PRISMA checklist (only the "checklist"; this is the protocol we will be using for this workshop).

Credit: For participating in this event, you will have the opportunity to apply these 12 hours toward PDN (Professional Development Network) credit.

If this event is of interest to you, but you are not familiar with the basics of systematic reviews or evidence synthesis, we encourage you to check out our Evidence Synthesis Basics series that will be held again in Fall 2021.
