Archival Adventures - Episode 56: Ladies' Home Journal Early 20th Century
It's time for an adventure! Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libaries' Youtube page.
This week on Archival Adventures, we head to the early 20th century to explore the Ladies' Home Journal. Published from 1883-2016, it was an iconic women's magazine of the century and one of the "Seven Sisters" magazines that dominated the "women's interest" portion of print media in the United States of America during the 20th Century.
