Archival Adventures: Civil War Diary of a Confederate Teen, Part 3

Archival Adventures: Civil War Diary of a Confederate Teen, Part 3

It's time for an adventure! In 1861, 14-year-old Frances, "Fannie," Murdoch picks up a pen as the Civil War picks up around her. Raised on a Mississippi cotton plantation, her life is filled with family, Bible study, and the distant sounds of war drawing closer. Her journal reveals fears, faith, and guilt as she prays for soldiers, worries for her soul, and wrestles with a world built on slavery. Join us as we step into Fannie's shoes and witness the war through the words of a young Confederate teen. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/Ms2009-132
