Archival Adventures: Hauser Institute of New York City

Archival Adventures: Hauser Institute of New York City

It's time for an adventure! This week we're heading back to the late 1920s as we explore the Hauser Institute of New York City Collection. This collection contains booklets and broadsides related to the Hauser Institute of New York City, conducted by food scientist Benjamin (Bengamin) Gayelord Hauser. They contain pseudoscientific instructions related to health and nutrition. You can learn more about the collection in the finding aid here: https://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaxtf/view?docId=oai/lib.vt.edu/repositories/2/resources/4006.oai_ead.xml

Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libaries' Youtube page.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please email library-event-accessibility-g@vt.edu at least 10 business days prior to the event.
