Archival Adventures: Girl Scouts

Archival Adventures: Girl Scouts

It's time for an adventure! This week we're looking back across 111 years as we explore some Girl Scouts history. The Girl Scouts of the United States of America are celebrating their Eleventy First birthday on March 12th. To mark this occasion, we'll explore the items in our collections about the Girl Scouts, including handbooks, cookbooks, and architectural designs from the 1930s to the 2010s. You can learn more about the collection in the finding aid here:  https://bit.ly/ArchivalAdventures102.

Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libaries' Youtube page.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please email library-event-accessibility-g@vt.edu at least 10 business days prior to the event.
