Archival Adventures: T. Marshall Hahn Jr.

Archival Adventures: T. Marshall Hahn Jr.

It's time for an adventure! This week we continue our series on High Energy Physics with a look at Virginia Tech’s past with the Oak Ridge Associated Universities and other nuclear activities. Under President T. Marshall Hahn Jr., Virginia Tech became a member of the Oak Ridge Associated Universities and was one of the first academic institutions in the United States to have a nuclear reactor on campus. Materials for this episode are part of this collection: https://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaxtf/view?docId=oai/VT/repositories_2_resources_3046.xml

Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libaries' Youtube page.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please email library-event-accessibility-g@vt.edu at least 10 business days prior to the event.
