Archival Adventures: #AskAnArchivist Day
It's time for an adventure! This week we're fully embracing #AskAnArchivist Day! Our adventure will feature a look at some of the behind-the-scenes work of a professional archivist and we’ll be available the whole time to answer questions about archives and what archivists do! (Yes, we’re always available to answer these questions, this day just wants attention.) During the stream, we’ll be looking at three unprocessed accessions: Norfolk and Western Correspondence/Memos; Othello Jefferson Papers; and in honor of National Coming Out Day, LGBTQ Community at Virginia Tech Audiocassettes.
Join our community collections archivist, Anthony Wright de Hernandez, for a livestream on Twitch! Every week we explore and discuss materials from Special Collections and University Archives covering topics including university history, NASA pioneers, architecture, science fiction, cooking, LGBTQ+ history, Black history, urban legends, and more. Recordings of previous streams are available on the Libaries' Youtube page.
