Archival Adventures: James Robbins Randolph

Archival Adventures: James Robbins Randolph

It's time for another trip to the past! This week, in continuing our exploration of High Energy Physics, we are taking a look into the James Robbins Randolph Papers. James Robbins Randolph is a Virginia Polytechnic Institute Alumni who graduated in 1912 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. He then obtained a master’s in physics from Harvard and embarked on a career teaching physics and mechanical engineering at various universities, working as a physicist for the National Bureau of Standards, and serving as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Ordnance Department. From rocket science to thermodynamics, what will we uncover?
